The Library offers free use of public computers and laptops for in-library use, as well as free 1 Gigabit Wi-Fi throughout the building. Printing and copying cost $.10 per page for black and white and $.50 per page for color. Payment can be made with cash, debit/credit card or by using money from your Library account. Scanning and faxing are free unless you need to print.

Public computers are in our Digital Learning Center, Children’s Learning Center and Local History/Genealogy Room. Adults aged 18 and over can borrow a laptop for in-library use from the Laptop Kiosk located in the Digital Learning Center. Your photograph is taken when you check out a laptop from the kiosk.

FPL is a “Gigabit” library, with 1G of high-speed Internet service. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the building. Look for the FPL Patron network. No password is required.

Printers and ScanEZ stations are in the Digital Learning Center and the Local History/Genealogy Room. The Children’s Learning Center also has a printer for use in that room. ScanEZ stations are free to use (unless you print/copy). ScanEZ stations offer the following services:

  • Scan to Fax – Faxes are sent via the internet; no phone lines required.
  • Copy Function – Provides users with an easy way to utilize the ScanEZ Station as a copier replacement.
  • Flatbed Scanner – Place a document anywhere on the 11” x 17” flatbed.
  • Sheetfed Scanner – Scan both sides of a document or a stack of documents in a single pass.
  • Image Editing - Resolution, color mode, size adjustments, cropping.

Translation Service – Translate a scan to one of over 60 supported languages.  Send the converted scan as a PDF or Word File and a subset of languages for MP3 audio file conversion to any of the destinations above.

You may print from any of our public computers and laptops or from our ScanEZ stations. Or use “Mobile Printing” and send print jobs from your own device while in the building or from a remote location like your home computer. See our Mobile Printing page for more information.

You may make copies by scanning your items at our ScanEZ stations then retrieving your scans at the printer. ScanEZ is a photocopier replacement.

Scanning is available at our ScanEZ stations with a flatbed scanner or sheetfed scanner. Save your file to a USB drive, to your Cloud storage service, or email it. There is no charge for scanning unless you choose to print your scan.

Faxing is available at our ScanEZ stations. There is no charge to send faxes. Receiving faxes is not available.

The Graff Family Digital Studio is in the Digital Learning Center. The Studio has space available for small video and audio recording projects, like podcasting and video blogging. Equipment is also available or bring your own. See the Digital Studio page for more details.
