Join us for a powerful community conversation at 4pm on Friday, May 9th, featuring three incredible voices: Christopher Paul Curtis, celebrated author and Flint native; Mychal Threets, a librarian on a mission to spark library joy across the country; and Mari Copeny, also known as Little Miss Flint, a passionate advocate for community action and youth empowerment.
Together, they’ll explore the transformative power of libraries, the impact of books on personal growth, and how we can all use our voices to inspire change in our communities. As Flint natives, Curtis and Copeny bring unique perspectives rooted in our city’s resilience and creativity. Threets, a nationally recognized librarian and library advocate, adds his vision for making libraries accessible and joyful for all.
This event is free and open to people of all ages. Don’t miss this opportunity to hear their stories, share your own, and reflect on the vital role libraries play in shaping a better future!
