Visual Storytelling Workshop
Presented by iMichigan Productions in association with Eighteen Fifty Five & Company:
Empowering the young filmmakers in Flint, Michigan to become visual storytellers who can capture and share their unique perspectives of the community. Through this workshop, we aim to elevate the voices of our youth and change the narrative of our community in a positive and authentic way. Our objective is to equip participants with the technical skills and creative approaches needed to capture compelling images that convey powerful narratives about Flint. This workshop will foster a sense of pride in the community and encourage participants to become active storytellers of their own lives and surroundings.
Age Range: 13-25
No experience or special equipment necessary.
The workshop series will be available in three different session blocks:
Session 1 | 9/27, 10/4, 10/18, 10/25
Session 2 | 11/1, 11/8, 11/15, 11/22
Session 3 | 11/29, 12/6, 12/13, 12/20
