The Gloria Coles Flint Public Library (GCFPL) is pleased to announce new leadership appointments to its Board of Trustees following action taken at the October 2, 2025, board meeting. The board elected Heather Kale as President and Asa Zuccaro as Vice President, ushering in a new chapter of collaborative leadership and community focus for the library.
The Board also approved the following officers and trustees:
● Melissa Brown, Treasurer (Flint City Appointee)
● Audrey Young-Muhammad, Secretary (Flint Board of Education Appointee)
● Vivian Kao, Trustee (Flint City Appointee)
● Sheila Fulmore, Trustee (Flint City Appointee)
● Reta Stanley, Trustee (Flint Board of Education Appointee)
Together, the Board will oversee governance and strategic direction for the library as it begins the search for its next Executive Director, a key leadership role that will guide GCFPL’s mission to serve as a vital hub for learning, culture, and connection in the Flint community.
The Library and Board extended its heartfelt appreciation to Reta Stanley, who completed her term as Board President and will continue to serve as a trustee. Under her leadership, the Gloria Coles Flint Public Library experienced a period of organizational transition, growth, and strengthened community partnerships.
