How do you select your library books? Some readers like to browse the library’s shelves, hoping to discover a new book by their favorite author, or a book they haven’t yet read in a long-running series. Other readers visit the library armed with their to-be-read (TBR) list, getting many of their ideas from book blogs and web sites.

Links to some of the best sites for discovering books are on the Adult Reading Recommendation page.  Other sites to check out are Books We Love, NPR’s year end reading guide, and  Book Riot,  a site committed to diverse reads across all genres.

If the Flint Public Library doesn’t have a book you’re interested in, you can always suggest a purchase by talking to a librarian or filling out the online “Suggest a Purchase” form. Happy reading!
