Artis Day - Author Darryle Buchanan

Willie E. Artis Day celebrates the life and contributions of the pioneering Flint businessman. Mr. Artis became a sought-after business asset for major corporations nationwide as well as the Clinton and Obama presidential administrations. He and his wife Veronica were philanthropists for several Flint institutions, including the Flint Public Library, of which Veronica continues the legacy. Community leader and youth mentor Darryle Buchanan, author of Invincible: A Memoir, has been invited to share his stories of inspiration in honor of Mr. Artis' memory.
