Important Community Pantry Update

Important Community Pantry Update

We have been overwhelmed by the love, generosity, and partnerships surrounding our community pantry at the Gloria Coles Flint Public Library. Together, we’ve created a safe and respectful space that continues to meet a real and growing need in our city.

The community pantry will remain open Saturdays from 2 to 4PM and will pause after December 20th, 2025. In 2026, our amazing community partnerships will continue to strengthen the programs and services the library provides to our valued patrons.

To all the individuals and families who have used the pantry: thank you for letting us be part of your lives and your community.

If you or someone you know needs food support, please visit us on the following Saturdays from 2 to 4 PM: November 22, December 6, December 13 and December 20.

With gratitude to our many donors, volunteers, and partners including Big John’s Steak and Onion, Genisys Credit Union, Friends of the Library, Molina Healthcare of Michigan, and the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan. This is what it looks like when a community truly shows up for one another
