Get a taste of the genealogy adventure at our new Civil War Ancestry class on Saturday, May 13.  Genealogy is a popular hobby, and the Library’s vast collection draws researchers from all over Michigan.  Many local people have taken our introductory classes or searched through our materials to start building their family tree. Over 2.8 million men (and a few hundred women) served in the Union and Confederate armies during the American Civil War. Are you a descendant of one of these soldiers?
