Each student participated in a tap dance workshop lead by artists of the festival’s ensemble; watched tap performances; and attended an interactive presentation by Jacqui Malone, author, dance historian, and dance teacher. Jackie Malone spoke about the history of tap dance, showed film clips of famous tap dancers and answered question by the Flint community students, several of whom take tap dance classes.
