Featured Title: Lizzie Bright and the Buckminster Boy

Author, Gary Schmidt, came to Flint Wednesay, November 8, 2006. In the morning Gary spoke to over 200 students at the Flint Public Library.

Later, at the Fiction Only Book Club he had lunch with community members and discussed the background of the story.

In the afternoon, we visited a local high school and Gary spoke with an additional 100+ students!

The response from the students and teachers was very positive and Gary engaged the students on topics about writing, storytelling and personal investement in their readings and of course, with background information on Lizzie Bright's story! Thanks Gary! You were Great!
