Author: Rita Williams-Garcia visited Flint Teens on December 4, 2002.

Rita Williams-Garcia met with classrooms on Wednesday, December 4, 2002 and held a discussion on her book Like Sisters on the Homefront and becoming a writer at 10:30 AM and 1:30 PM. Later in the evening she spoke to the general public at 7 PM in the General Reading Room of the Main Library at 1026 E. Kearsley Street, Flint, MI, 48502. Rita was wonderful and teens were very inspired by her! Thank you Rita for a wonderful program!
