1994 Athletic and Scholastic Achievement RecipientsAnn GlennAndre WeathersANN GLENN - Flint Central High School Senior - GPA 3.75 Athletic Achievement: Swimming team for four years and won numerous metals for her swimming efforts. Scholastic Achievement: Ann is a National Merit Semi-Finalist at this point. She attained a composite score of "30" on the ACT. Her 3.75 has been in the "humanities" curriculum. Extra Curricular Activities: Ann is involved in the theater program and art programs at Central High School. Further, she is an integral part of Central's "U.N." program. Future Plans: She has sent credits to University of Chicago and to Northwestern University. Ann says she has not decided on a firm career choice as of yet, however, she's leaning towards a career in engineering. ANDRE WEATHERS - Flint Central High School Senior - GPA 3.5 Athletic Achievement: Football: Three years varsity-defensive back, slot back-receiver combination, dream teams for Detroit News and Free Press, 1993. Andre also plays varsity basketball. Scholastic Achievement: Attained 3.5 GPA in the most rigorous curriculum in the Flint system, i.e., "humanities" and magnet math and science at Northern. Extra Curricular Activities: Church activities, National Honor activities, homecoming activities, other community and school involvements. Other Information: Andre was recruited by Division I football programs such as Northwestern, Michigan and Minnesota.
