About C.I.A.O. By teaching information access and computer technology as tools for change, this project aims to empower high school students to succeed as decision makers who influence community leaders to respond to their ideas for change. Through this project, young activists will learn to put their passion into action.
"Flint Profiles" is the name of our collective project which highlights community issues and underscores their positive and negative effects on the quality of life in Flint. In the second part of the project our C.I.A.O. students will go out to the branch libraries to teach younger students those computer skills that will enable them to continue the "Flint Profile" work, this time with the narrow focus of the local neighborhood.
