Wi-Fi Printing

Flint Public Library has Wi-Fi printing available for patrons using their laptops.
We only allow printing on standard letter-size paper (8.5 x 11) using the copy card printers.

If you want to get started right away, click HERE to install the printer software on your computer.
Otherwise read on for instructions.

Note: Apple Mac laptops are not supported

1. Make sure the laptop is connected to our Public Wi-Fi network. (Password is 48502)
   
   
2. Click HERE to open the download link on your computer.
   
   
3. Click "Save File" button. The "VisitorPrinters" file will automatically download into your download folder.
4. Open it, accept changes, and install.
   
   Installation will take 3-4 minutes, and when it's done you'll be able to click the "Finish" button.
5. You are now ready to print.
   
   Select File > Print from any webpage or document and the Print window will come up, with options to:
   
   -"Color Print with PrintCopy Card" (25 cents per page, in color)
   or
   -"Printing with PrintCopy Card" (10 cents per page, black & white)
   
   Make your selection, then enter your Flint Public Library card number (or Print&Copy Card purchased from machine in Reference Room) in the first box.
   
   
   
   Enter your name in the second box. Click "Print."
   
   A pop-up message will confirm the job has gone through to the printer and tell you the cost.
   
   
   
   
   
6. Your print job will now be sent to our printing queue. You may retrieve it at any printer in the building by logging in with your library card.

Second floor: Periodicals Room
