About the Flint Public Library
The Mission of the Flint Public Library is to provide access for all to collections, community, experiences, experts, ideas and information. The Vision of the Flint Public Library is to be Michigan's most vital, valued and vibrant public library. The Main Library, with its extensive reference department, research collections, local history and genealogy collections and 50,000 volume Children's Library, provides vital information access for our community. The Main Library's meeting areas serve as an important community gathering place and allow the library to hosts lectures, concerts, author visits, and other community events.
